St. Jude does some amazing work. They were the first institution established for the sole purpose of conducting basic and clinical research and treatment into catastrophic childhood diseases, mainly cancer. Research findings at St. Jude are shared freely with doctors and scientists all over the world. St. Jude has treated children from all 50 states and around the world, averaging 5,900 patients per year.
St. Jude families never pay for treatment not covered by insurance and no child is ever turned away because of a family’s inability to pay. Public donations provide more than 75% of their funding.
