Optimizing Your Page Titles – Friday Fix

First a disclaimer – we are not SEO gurus, ninjas, masters, conjurers, strategists, magicians or any such title. But it doesn’t take one of those folks to know that SEO (search engine optimization) is of the utmost importance to your organization. If you don’t place well in search, no one will be able to find you organically.

SEO can be like perfecting a recipe. You start with the basics and then a little pinch of this, an extra few minutes doing that and you have something that gets you noticed. Much of SEO is a “secret sauce” but there are a few simple changes you can make today that may help your SEO ranking in the future. Optimizing your page titles is a good place to start.

Page titles (and title tags) are seen in the results that come up when viewers perform a search. This information may be the primary driver behind a user clicking on your link (or not) so they should be specific. Take some time to peruse your page titles and figure out if they are providing your organization with the most benefit possible.
