Winning entries for the 2011 W3 Awards were selected by the International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA).

In the categories of mobile websites and web-based applications, entries were judged on the following factors: creativity, usability, navigation, functionality, visual design and ease of use. IAVA received more than 3,000 entries from around the globe for the 2011 competition.
