Many organizations struggle with the idea of why a private online community adds more value for its members than creating a page on a public social network. There are many reasons, including security and content-ownership, that should give you pause about making a public social page your only presence in social media.
But there are also features a community from YourMembership.com offers that other social networks do not. A complete career center is a great value-add for your members and can produce revenue for your organization as well.
In our career center feature you can create and manage categories; accept submitted openings (you can even set something up in the store to allow companies to pay to post their openings); limit the number of active career posts by membership level; allow for online application to specific postings; search resumes/CVs of your members; approve and monitor job postings; and export resumes/CVs and opening.
When adding openings, we make it easy with many drop-down and fill-in the blanks questions. You can select categories from a list you created, that way they fit your industry and not just a mass listing of possible job categories like what you might find on a public career site. You also create the position type such as full-time, part-time, etc. You can even set the listing to expire. Allow online applications and craft the actual job description in our WYSIWYG text editor.
You can search career openings by category, position, organization and/or status like approved, active and/or expired. You can even save the query to use again. Plus you don’t want your active job hunters to miss a posting, so you even have the option of allowing RSS feeds of job postings.
